Celebrating South Africa’s heritage and diversity
Heritage Day
24 September is the day on which South Africans celebrate the diversity of cultures, beliefs, tradition and languages that makes us a truly Rainbow nation. Together with our quirky SA traditions and vocab like “Lekker, Hoezit my bru,” we have defined our unique identity.
The heritage council of SA defines heritage as ’that which is preserved from the past as the living collective memory of a people; not only to inform the present but also to equip successive generations to fashion their futures’. It is what creates a sense of identity and assures rootedness and continuity.
IO Psychologists work in organisations and society supporting the way people interact as well as guiding individuals to thrive and find their true voice and identity.
SIOPSA is proud to be a cornerstone of the SA heritage for 21 years and wish all our members, partners and fellow SA’fans a blessed and happy Heritage Day.
